The Ukhoko Necropolis is a system of valleys near the town of Hamunaptra on Kismet, filled with ancient burial temples, mausoleums and all sorts of tombs housing the most venerated ancestors of many of House Ndewane's most noble lines. The Necropolis is a cultural epicentre for much of House Ndewane and Kismet, as well as a significant draw for tourists from all over the empire.

Enterred family lines[]

  • Much of the extinct Bhakato line of House Ndewane is buried here, including the legendary King Batsheba.
  • The famously antagonistic Tsepete and Igugu family lines are also buried here, in two well-separated arms of the canyon system.

Snippets[]

  • The necropolis is only (publicly) accessible via one entrance, the 300-feet tall Black Gate.
  • The Black Gate is closed from dusk to dawn to deter graverobbers.
  • The necropolis pointedly does not have a zombie problem. Those shuffling sounds you hear at night? Graverobbers.
  • Most mausoleums and tombs have public rooms where worshippers and descendants can visit, while the actual tombs are sealed and secured with manifold technical and supernatural deterrants against graverobbers.
