Elisander Quetzal is a human noble of House Quetzal, the 12. and current Virasana Emperor of his house.
Appearance[]
Of average height, he shows a fortunate mix of his mother's good looks and his father's charm. With pale skin and long, straight black hair, he cannot deny his Kyothari heritage. Slender and sinewy.
In public, he often wears the robes that his station demands. But it is a moderately well secret that he often spends time 'incognito' among the general population, wearing every-day clothes, best known among them a heavy leather jacket with his house's twin serpents prominently embroidered on the back.
Youth[]
- Grew up on Lagoona, spending most of his time out of the capital in Garami Palace.
Jansahar Training[]
- Spent his Annum Nobilis on Terra, where he trained as a Jansahar novice. The details and extend of his training are unknown, but in this context it is noteworthy that he is the first Virasana Emperor ever to officially gain the open and explicit support of Temple Jansahar.
Ascendance and early Reign[]
- At the abdication of his mother, he became Virasana Emperor in 2239 ET, at the age of 19.

The Good Emperor[]
While many previous Emperors have managed to gain the respect or even the sympathies of the public, the quiet pride and adoration that most citizens show towards the current Emperor is unprecedented. Dubbed 'the Good Emperor' often enough without any shred of irony, he is far from being blindly adored. But almost everyone agrees that he's doing a fine job overall and that everyone is better off with him on the throne. Whether this is a genuine sentiment, or the result of dextrous manipulation by propaganda or the Psions' Guild remains to be seen.
His birthday on September 12th is more and more turning into a holiday observed in his honour.
